Avengers: Doomsday – The one, cursed with knowledge

After the cataclysmic events of Avengers: Endgame, peace blanketed the universe, but it was only the calm before a far greater storm. In the hidden fractures of the multiverse, a forgotten echo stirred—one that bore the face of a hero, now twisted by fate. Tony Stark, once celebrated as Iron Man, had not perished. In a broken corner of existence, he survived—not as a savior, but as something darker. Cloaked in shadow and powered by corrupted arc-reactor energy, he had become Doom, a name whispered with fear across countless realities.

Far away, under the glare of twin suns, a young Thanos trained mercilessly under the guidance of this very Doom. With no memory of his parents, the boy knew only discipline, pain, and philosophy twisted into violence. “Strength is not given, boy. It is taken,” Doom often reminded him. Alongside Thanos stood Darkseid—torn from a distant DC universe and reshaped under Doom's will. Together, they were his legacy: two war-forged children raised not for balance, but for conquest across the infinite.

Meanwhile, the multiverse had begun to fray. Timelines decayed, realities collapsed, and cracks widened in the cosmic weave. Sensing the unraveling, Doctor Strange emerged from the shadows, worn and desperate. Seeking Loki, he declared that only the God of Stories could confront the source. “Save us,” Strange urged. “From Tony Stark.” They opened a forbidden portal to the Multiverse of Doomsday, entering a realm where variants of Stark had either turned tyrant—or perished trying.

To their surprise, they were joined by a version of Stark who had resisted the path of Doom. Together, the trio—Loki, Strange, and a heroic Stark—journeyed through the ruins of dying timelines and echoes of forgotten wars, seeking the citadel where Doom ruled. As they approached the obsidian tower humming with multiversal power, Loki warned, “You’re late.” Stark replied, calm but resolute, “I have to meet him. Before everything begins.”

In a distant nebula, Stark found young Thanos—alone, curious, and unaware of what he would one day become. When asked who he was, Stark answered solemnly, “I’m the one cursed with knowledge.” The phrase, ancient and haunting, awakened something in the boy. From his throne of timelines, Doom watched silently, realizing the truth. This was no intruder. It was the self he might have been—the one who chose sacrifice over control. And now, he stood offering not resistance, but allegiance.

Doom appeared, thunder in his voice. “You want to stop me?” Stark met his gaze. “No. I want to join you.” The multiverse held its breath as two Starks—one forged by sacrifice, the other by domination—stood on the brink of something new. A fracture in destiny had begun.
